Greg visits Station No. 1. It was officially opened in September 1978 and is named after former Fire Chief, Alfred D. Stong.

The building features an air compressor for filling air bottles, a training tower, a classroom, a kitchen, a lounge area, a dispatch centre and offices. Aside from being a working fire hall, Station No.1 also serves as the department's headquarters and the alternate emergency operations centre. The Fire Chief, Deputy Chiefs, Platoon Chiefs, Communications Staff and Training Officers work out of Station No.1. As well, 28 suppression personnel (firefighters) work out of Station No.1 on four separate crews
